Backport verification: the (cherry picked from commit ae3874f304d85d8978422f8e466105b9bebf2e7f) trailer is present and that commit is an ancestor of master. lang/golang/golang1.26/Makefile at the PR head is byte-identical to the same file at the upstream commit, and the diff is confined to the two lines the subject describes (GO_VERSION_PATCH and PKG_HASH). PKG_RELEASE is already 1, so no reset is needed.
